SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (June 9, 2009) – Go Daddy, the world’s dominant Web hosting domain registrar, adds a little ‘spice of life’ to the Internet with its newest offering – .MX domains. The domain extension is available for pre-registration right now at GoDaddy.com!
.MX, the country code top level domain (ccTLD) of Mexico, was only offered to a few select institutions in the last two decades. Now, Mexico is offering the extension for use worldwide.
Go Daddy opened registration for sub-extension .COM.MX in May. Now, anyone who owned a sub-extension prior to March 1, 2009 can participate in pre-registration for a .MX domain at GoDaddy.com.
“We realize many of our customers will want a dot-MX domain,” said Go Daddy CEO and Founder Bob Parsons. “We plan to help them get it the same way we do everything at Go Daddy – easily and affordably.”
This current pre-registration – or Sunrise period – ends July 31. General registration – also known as Landrush – starts Sept. 1 on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.
