Netfirms domain registration auto renewal

When you register a domain name, you probabely think about the renewal. So many domain registrars set auto renewal by default and most people choose the option to renew their domain names automatically. But, when domain name owners don’t want their domain any more, many of them forget to cancel the auto renewal service. If you don’t cancel it, you will be charged.
The following renewal terms is from netfirms domain registration agreement. If you have domains registered with netfirms and you don’t want to renew them any more, don’t forget to cancel them.

YOU agree that WE will, on your behalf, take all required steps to automatically renew YOUR domain name registration on a yearly basis, and that YOU will be solely responsible for all costs in so doing. YOU undertake to indemnify Netfirms, Inc. for any expenses it incurs in such renewals. YOU further designate Netfirms, Inc. to act on your behalf and as your domain name temporary administrative contact when required, and agree that WE may take all steps necessary to ensure both renewal and transfer of the subject domain name to Netfirms, Inc. as the registrar of record. “

Ah guys really – there is a clear button next to each domain to stop the auto renewal function. I agree with Mac – auto renewal is a big help! Sure beats the hassle to getting it back during the Redemption period. Do your own research.
