If you ask us why I choose WordPress for my blog, I am going to say that I can not find any others are better than WordPress. Here I am talking about using WordPress for self hosted blog, not about blogging on wordpress.com or Google blogspot.
Actually you don’t need to ask why to use WordPress other than other blog software. Just use it and enjoy! Because WordPress provides everything you need for your blog. It is so powerful millions websites and millions people are using it every day. I’d like to give you a list of the benefits you can get from WordPress.

WordPress is an Open Source project. This not only means you are free to use it without paying anything, like a license fee, but also means there are hundreds of people all over the world working on it. It’s like hundreds of people working for your website.

The administration interface is easy to navigate. You can easily post content or create a page to your website. WordPress is so popular that almost all web hosts offer free WordPress script. You can easily install it with one mouse click.

You can find thousands of free themes that you can download and use for your WordPress websites. You can choose a theme with most suitable functions for your site. WordPress Rock! Self hosted only of course, much more control and flexibility.
I guess the only reason to use wordpress.com is because it’s free!
