(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data recovery and storage provider Data Storage Corporation (www.dscorp.net) announced on Monday it has appointed Matthew Grover and Hal Schwartz to its board of advisors.

The team of 10 advises the management team and board of directors on strategic issues affecting the business.

“Our board of advisors is essential to the growth and future success of our company,” says chairman and chief executive officer Chuck Piluso, quoted in the release . “Adding two distinguished and talented industry professionals like Matthew and Hal expands the diversity of experience and expertise we have on our advisory board. We look to this board of highly regarded individuals for strategic insight and guidance as we continue to expand the company.”

Matthew Grover is currently vice president of sales operations at Optimum Lightpath, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cablevision, where he has worked since 2002.

Prior to Cablevision, Grover held several management positions including vice president of sales at North American Telecom, global account manager at AT&T in Los Angeles, and district sales manager at AT&T in New York. He holds a BA in economics from Stony Brook University in New York and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Hal Schwartz founded Systems Trading Incorporated in 1997 and serves as the technology leasing company’s chief executive officer and president. He also serves as the vice president of ABC Services, a company he co-founded in 1995.

In 1991, Schwartz established a lease asset sales division for CAC Leasing.

Schwartz has a bachelor’s degree in business from California State University.

The appointments come almost a month after the company appointed Larry Putterman to its board of directors.
