European Teleco Imtech Acquires Swiss Web Host Penta

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — European telecommunications firm Imtech (www.imtech.eu) announced on Thursday it has acquired Swiss web hosting provider Penta.
With this acquisition, Imtech strengthens its position in the growing Swiss information and communication technology market for managed services.
Penta has 20 employees and generates an annual revenue of $5.3 million. The acquisition contributes directly to the earnings per share.
“Over the last few years, Imtech has built up a strong position in the European market for information and communication technology services and is active in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium and Romania,” says Imtech CEO René van der Bruggen.
Besides an increase in scale, the existing services portfolio will be considerably strengthened in terms of the managed services competence.
The addition of Penta will also expand Imtech’s geographic footprint in Switzerland.
The two companies’ client portfolios of managed services complement each other.
