Web Host IPOWER Highlights Customer Projects to Celebrate 10th Anniversary

(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — web hosting provider IPOWER (www.ipower.com) announced this week that it is celebrating its 10th year in business this October, in part by showcasing some of its original customers’ projects on its website.
The company says it started in 2001, in Santa Monica, California, and moved in 2005 to Phoenix, Arizona. In 2007, the company was acquired by Endurance international group, an organization known for owning a significant number of hosting businesses, but continuing to operate each brand independently.
In the announcement, IPOWER attributes the longevity to customer loyalty.
“The longer you stay in business, and the larger you get as a company, the more important it becomes to remain focused on your customers and the unique individuals that they are,” says Jen Merry, IPOWER’s marketing manager of six years, quoted in the announcement. “Keeping our customer support staff in house has played a key role in terms of helping us relate to our customers.”
The website does not appear to have begun showcasing the customers yet, but it wasn’t made explicit in the press release whether the company had already reached its anniversary. There are, however, only a few days left in October.
Each of the relatively small group of customers that has actually been with the company for 10 years will receive a free year of hosting, says the company.
For the rest, IPOWER is putting its Pro Plan on sale for $3.95 per month through the end of October.
