(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) –- web hosting provider Savvis (www.savvis.com) announced details about its cloud-focused global Savvis Alliances Program (www.savvis.com/alliances) for channel partners.

The move comes more than a month after the company launched its Savvis Symphony Virtual Private Data Center, which will be available in its Singapore data center in the second quarter of 2011.

The multi-level program allows Savvis alliance partners to offer Savvis cloud services, as well as managed hosting, colocation, network services and managed security services, to their customers.

By registering as an alliance partner, participants receive access to Savvis’ assets and intellectual property through the partner portal.

“We are investing in the growth and successes of our partners globally,” says Jaywant Rao, vice president of global alliances for Savvis. “Our goal is to deliver an agile, streamlined and highly beneficial experience to our partners based on collaboration and the sharing of expertise.”

The Savvis Alliances Program is customized to meet the “unique, individual needs of system integrators, managed service providers, telecommunications companies, application providers, and technology vendors.”

Several companies have already joined the program at launch, including Cisco Systems, Forsythe, Technologies and Gravitant.

The Savvis Alliances Program offers the tiered membership levels of Strategic, Preferred and Affiliate.

Each level has varying benefits and requirements based on the channel partner’s level of commitment and investment. Partners can also choose between either reselling or referring services.
